Life & Career

Pump Training National Hydraulic Institute Pump Training

Jordan (or JTL) grew up in South East QLD (Australia), attending primary and secondary school on the Gold Coast - eventually moving to Brisbane to complete a Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE) at the University of Queensland. While completing his degree, he worked in the rope access industry across various high rise building sites.

While studying Engineering in Brisbane - an opportunity for professional practice was offered to Jordan by one of the largest pump OEMs in the market. This opportunity began a career in water, slurry and hydraulics via various roles in engineering, sales, project management & product management.

Through completion of studies, involvement across the whole pump life cycle and 8+ years of industry experience, Jordan would find himself involved in work across Australia & internationally for a variety of customers & vertical markets.

Jordan has always held an innate passion for understanding the way the world works - especially the fundamental physics principals that form its foundation - including a special passion for fluid mechanics.

Every system has a pump - including you - your heart!
